Lanzhou to set up e-commerce service platform

The city of Lanzhou will establish the first cross-border e-commerce public service platform in Gansu Province, according to a themed conference held by Lanzhou Municipal Government on August 17.

The conference said that the e-commerce trade volume in Lanzhou totaled 40.6 billion yuan in the first half of this year, up by 32 percent year on year. The statistics also show that there are now 47 local e-commerce platform enterprises in Lanzhou with a total trade volume of 1.3 billion yuan.

A cross-border e-commerce public service platform incorporating functions of customs, foreign exchange, tax, logistics and so on is expected to be established by the end of this year in Lanzhou, according to the conference.
