The Lanzhou New Area was recently awarded “the Most Energetic New Area” by the China Comment, an influential magazine across China, during a social development themed seminar in Beijing.

The award is one of the honors included in the seventh daily life brand selection activity held by the China Comment. It is reported that the selection process includes online voting, question and answer by messages and expert appraisal.

Lanzhou New Area, covering a planned area of about 821 square kilometers, is the fifth state-level new area located to the north of Lanzhou in Gansu Province. On August 20, 2012, China's State Council approved the Lanzhou New Area and its construction guidelines. After years of development, Lanzhou New Area has made stride on industrial development, investment attraction, scientific innovation, ecological progress and so on with enhanced urban functions.
