A tourism activity entitled “1000 folk ambassadors promoting Lanzhou” kicked off in the city of Lanzhou, capital of Gansu Province, in March.

Jointly held by the Lanzhou Municipal Culture and Tourism Bureau and the Kanghui Travel Agency, the activity aims to promote Lanzhou tourism resources and culture by local citizens, who take special trains to places across Gansu and present distinctive performances.

Li Junlan, a Lanzhou citizen, came to the Lanzhou Railway Station to participate in the event together with some ten former classmates. “Being a Lanzhou citizen, we have the obligation of promoting our city and attract more tourists to come here,” she said.

The spokesperson for the Kanghui Travel Agency expressed that taking special trains for tourism has become a new choice for Lanzhou people.
