The general offices of Gansu provincial Party committee and Gansu provincial government jointly released policies to accelerate the development of Lanzhou New Area days ago.

The supportive policies, including rationalizing management mechanisms, offering more financial support, promoting industrial agglomeration, enhancing innovative capacity, promoting city-industry integration and accelerating opening-up, aims to guarantee rapid and sound development of the new area.

The Gansu provincial and Lanzhou municipal governments will allocate 1 billion and 500 million yuan of fiscal funds annually to support infrastructure construction, public services, scientific innovation and enterprise relocation in the new area for five consecutive years since 2017.

A big data industrial base will be established there and the construction of Lanbai Scientific and Technological Innovation Reform Pilot Area will be accelerated in the new area.

In the aspect of city-industry integration, a total of six colleges will be settled and key schools and first-class hospitals will establish branches in the new area with special funds.
