The online retail trade volume in the city of Lanzhou is expected to reach 60 billion yuan by the end of 2020, according to the Lanzhou E-commerce Development Plan released on April 26. The e-commerce application rates of enterprises and citizens will reach over 80 percent and 70 percent respectively by then.

The city will promote the development of “internet plus intelligent community” by exploring urban community business models featuring convenient consumption and services, the plan said. Enterprises are encouraged to establish e-commerce platforms and mobile clients to integrate online and offline resources and create a better online consumption environment.
