The railway from Zhujiayao to Zhongchuan will be constructed in Lanzhou New Area, according to a project launching ceremony held on May 10. It is the second railway in the new area after the railway from Zhongchuan to Majiaping completed construction and was open to traffic in 2013.

With a total length of 42.19 kilometers, the Zhujiayao- Zhongchuan Railway will pass by Lanzhou New Area and Gaolan County in Lanzhou with an aim to building up a logistics distribution center and promoting economic development in the new area.
