Twenty-five countries along the Belt and Road have confirmed to attend the 23th China (Lanzhou) Investment and Trade Fair scheduled for early July, according to Gansu provincial government.

Malaysia and Nepal will be guests of honor of the event to be held from July 6 to 9. The two countries will send delegations of enterprises, government agencies and purchasing agents to the fair.

Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan will also attend the event.

This year’s edition will serve as a platform of exchange and cooperation between China and other Belt and Road countries by inviting investors, traders and purchasing agents from both home and abroad.

Thirty activities including a Silk Road Cooperation Forum, a Silk Road Economic Belt Forum on Cooperation between China (Gansu) and Central Asian Countries, and a tour of Gansu by representatives of the world’s top 500 enterprises will be organized during the event to facilitate investment and trade.

Earlier on, Gansu provincial government held a business-matching meeting for the world’s top 500 enterprises to invest in the province, during which 31 of such enterprises and another 100 famous enterprises inked letters of intent on cooperation with 11 cities and prectures of Gansu on a number of projects. Parties involved will further discuss the projects at the July fair.

Inaugurated in 1993, the fair has been held for 22 editions, becoming a window of opening up for Gansu and other northwestern provinces and regions of China as well as a famous investment and trade fair brand under the Belt and Road Initiative.
