A Lanzhou tourism promotional conference was held in the city of Lanzhou, Gansu Province, on June 21, as a part of the Dunhuang Tour•Silk Road International Tourism Festival, which kicked off on the same day.

Being a pivotal city along the Silk Road Economic Belt, the city of Lanzhou is an important platform for China’s westward opening-up. More and more tourists and investors came to Lanzhou for visits and making investment. Just as a slogan goes: The tourism of northwestern China starts from Lanzhou, tourists can begin trips of Maijishan Grottoes, Jiayu Pass of the Great Wall, Mogao Grottoes, Labrang Monastery and so on in Lanzhou and experience the cultures of the Yellow River, the Silk Road and ethnic groups, according to the conference.

A tourism advertising video and art performances of Lanzhou characteristics were presented for over 300 attendees during the conference.
