A nine-people Houston delegation led by its vice-mayor Jerry Davis paid a visit in Lanzhou City, Gansu Province, on July 5. Wang Zhen, vice mayor of Lanzhou, received the delegation from U.S. and both sides signed cooperative letters of intent during the conference.

The delegation exchanged views with municipal leaders of Lanzhou who are in charge of economy, education and culture and reached agreements on further cooperation. Both sides will carry out various long-term communication and cooperation in economy, trade, science, technology, culture and education in the near future.

It is reported that Lanzhou has established sister city ties with 13 foreign city over the past years.
