Key projects stride in Lanzhou

A batch of key projects completed construction and were put into operation this year in the city of Lanzhou, Gansu Province.

The Western China Dinosaur Water Park in Lanzhou New Area was open to the public on July 1 and received over 5,000 tourists every day. With an accumulated investment of one billion yuan, the park started construction on July 22, 2016, and now has become the first large-scale water theme park in northwestern China.

The high-speed train from Baoji in Shaanxi Province to Lanzhou was launched on July 9 and the Lanzhou West Station received about 35,000 passengers per day recently. The Line 1 rail transit in Lanzhou is expected to complete construction by the end of 2018 and the traffic in urban area will become more convenient then.

The city of Lanzhou implemented 175 key projects with an investment scale of 562.59 billion yuan this year. The projects, focusing on promoting industrial upgrading, enhancing urban layout and improving infrastructure, planned to complete a total investment of 85 billion yuan this year. It is reported that the city invested 34 billion yuan on key projects during the first half year.
