The 8th Lanzhou City Sports Meeting kicks off in the city, capital of Gansu Province, on August 8. Artistic performances including the Taiping Drum, the Taiji Gongfu Fan, the Yangko, the Guozhuang Dance and so on are performed during the opening ceremony. Held by the Lanzhou Municipal Government, the event includes competitions of two groups, namely, the adolescent and the mass groups, which offer arenas for the adolescent reserve talents and adult sports fans.
