The Lanzhou South Ring Expressway is expected to open to traffic by the end of 2018, www.lanzhou.cn reports.
The expressway will effectively help ease traffic congestion and transportation pressure after its completion.
So far, construction on relevant projects, including 20 bridges, 17 tunnels and five viaducts, has been basically finished.
The 1,003-meter-long Xigu Yellow River Grand Bridge is the first cable-stayed highway bridge in Gansu.
