Apart from traditional sectors like catering, lodging, transportation, and construction materials, the non-public economy at Qilihe District in Lanzhou City has bloomed in agricultural products processing, real estate, machining, storage logistics, education and so on over the past few years, said Xiao Mao, vice-director of the district, during a themed conference held on January 12 in Lanzhou.
Cultural tourism development will be the central task for the district and the tourism plus mode will nurture new businesses and more start-ups, said Xiao. Several key projects like the central business district of the Lanzhou West Railway Station, Shifogou National Forest Park, and Lanzhou Center and Old Street are now under construction thus they can bring more opportunities for the non-public economy at the district, said Wei Jinwen, party secretary of the district, during the conference.
