The first second-level general hospital has started construction in the Lanzhou New Area, according to a cornerstone laying ceremony on November 24.

With a planned investment of 450 million yuan, the hospital, occupying an area of 6 hectares, is expected to be put into service in September 2015.

With the construction area covering 77,668 square meters, the hospital will feature internal medicine, surgical, gynecology, pediatrics, traditional Chinese medicine, medical laboratory sciences and medical image departments.
