The Wuquanshan or Five Springs Park, covering an area of 270,000 square meters, is located at the Gaolan Mountain in the southern suburb of Lanzhou. The scenic spot boasts five springs and some magnificent Buddhist architecture. With a history spanning more than 2,000 years, legend has it that the springs were discovered by Huo Qubing, a famous general of the Han Dynasty (206 B.C. -220 A.D.).
