Lanzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone

Lanzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone, established in March of 1993, received the formal approval of the State Council as a state-level economic development zone in March of 2003. It’s the only state-level economic development zone in all of Gansu Province and a main project in the development of export-oriented economy across the province.

Covering an area of 9.53 square kilometers, the zone mainly includes trade financial and industrial districts. Industrial parks featuring high-tech, petrochemical industry, environmental protection, foreign trade, ecological agriculture and so on, have already been set up there. Until now, more than 500 enterprises have created workshops within the zone. A total of 21 large state-owned enterprises featuring astronautic equipment, electronic instruments and information products are located in the zone.

After 10 years of development, the zone has developed pillar industries such as those of astronautical instruments, electronic meters and information products. The fine infrastructure, service system and legal guarantee provide a favorable investment environment for investors from both in- and outside of Lanzhou.
