Lanzhou High-tech Industrial Development Zone

The Lanzhou High-tech Industrial Development Zone is one of the national high-tech industry development zones approved by the State Council in 1991. Covering an area of 18.62 square kilometers, the zone has finished investment in fixed assets totaling around 10 billion RMB.

To realize its high-tech industrialization, the zone established a start-up service center, state-level software park, university scientific and technological park and overseas student pioneer park, which all focus on pillar industries like fine chemistry, biotechnology, pharmaceutical industry, energy saving and information.

The state-owned, collectively owned, foreign-invested and private enterprises have flourished at the zone after 20 years of construction. It has become an incubator for high-tech entrepreneurs and enterprises to accelerate western development and opening up to the outside world.
