On Nov. 12, the "river spirit – exhibition of art works from Lanzhou Academy of Painting" is held in Baiyun Art Gallery of Dalian Library, which is hosted by Dalian Literature and Arts Association, Lanzhou Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television, Dalian Academy of Painting and Lanzhou Academy of Painting.

80 pieces of Chinese painting and oil painting by 23 famous painters from Lanzhou Academy of Painting are on display. It is the first time that art works from Lanzhou Academy of Painting appear in Dalian and it shows the achievements of the "cultural study and field survey along the Yellow River".

In this activity, painters took a 12,000-kilometer field trip from the river source to the estuary, passing 9 provinces and areas in the Yellow River basin. Painters recorded the beautiful sceneries and folk customs of the Yellow River basin with their painting brushes. These paintings will be on display in Beijing, Jinan, Qingdao, Chengdu, Kunming and Fuzhou.
