The ballet 'Moulin Rouge' created by the Royal Winnipeg Ballet was performed in Gansu Grant Theatre on November 9th. It was the second time that the Royal Winnipeg Ballet came to China with its classic work after its first visit ten years ago. Their audience lost themselves in the artistic work and the ballet showed a romantic love story which combined elegant traditional ballet with bold cancan.

The ballet 'Moulin Rouge' was divided into two parts, which showed vivid characteristics and strong emotions through the consummate skills of the dancers, elaborate choreography, light changing, music selection and different scenes.

The Royal Winnipeg Ballet was founded in 1939, which is the earliest ballet in Canada, as well as a ballet with the longest continuous operation hours in North America. The ballet will perform more than 150 shows in nearly 600 cities around the word every year, which will last for as long as 15 weeks.
