Sponsored by Lanzhou City College and Gansu painting and calligraphy committee, Wang Hongqing's Chinese painting show opened on November 18th.

Based on the abundant historical materials, the theme of the painting show is about the old Lanzhou. The paintings reflect the city in late Ming dynasty and early Qing dynasty, winning the praises from both audiences and artists.

Wang Hongqing, dean of Hubei Xinxiang painting and calligraphy academy and founder of quick painting methodology, studied calligraphy from famous painter He Haixia and painting from Lou Fuyi in his early years. During his experience in teaching painting, he invented the quick teaching method of painting that makes the students manage the skills in a short period. Now he is devoting himself in reproducing Dunhuang and Silk Road civilization in his works.

Lasting for five days, the exhibition will end on November 22nd.
