On Dec. 14, 2014 Lanzhou Summit held in Lanzhou, hosted by Gansu Bank and School of Management, Lanzhou University. [Chinanews.com]

On Dec. 14, 2014 Lanzhou Summit was held in Lanzhou. Entrepreneurs, officials, famous scholars and leaders from the northwest of China attended the summit and gave their suggestions on“how would Gansu achieve transitional development”.

The summit, which is hosted byGansu Bank and School of Management, is a high-end communication platform for the economic development and growth of enterprises to strengthen the cooperation among universities, enterprises, government and all sectors of society.

According to the president of Lanzhou University, Gansu Province, an important part of Silk Road Economic Belt, will achieve transition and leap development through 3 strategic platforms including economy, culture and ecology. Under this condition, Gansu Bank and Lanzhou University hosted this summit and invited people from all walks of life to discuss the economic development in Gansu.

The transitional development of Gansu needs help from many sectors of society. The summit which serves as a platform will promote the integrative recombination of traditional industries. Li Xin, president of Gansu Bank, said that Gansu is in a phase that economic structure continues to change, quality improves and new growth momentum accumulates.
