On December 23, Lanzhou Municipal Publicity Department and Lanzhou Literature and Art League jointly hosted a painting and calligraphy artwork exhibition of female artists at Lanzhou Gallery. All the exhibited works are created by six female artists, named Lishu Yan, Li Shujuan, Wu Guoxiang, Qiu Ning, Lu Chunli and Zhao Xia.

Since the implementation of opening-up policy, there have been many young and middle-aged female artists in Lanzhou, who play an important role in the literary and art development. After two years’ preparation, this exhibition kicked off with an aim to promote literary and art production in Lanzhou.
