The Lanzhou New Area will explore new rural cooperation modes in land transferring and corporation shareholding this year, according to a themed poverty alleviation conference held on March 16. Professional cooperation organizations are planned to be established for each pillar industry.
The new area will encourage and support the development of small businesses and grant financial support to 150 small and micro enterprises. This year, it will also accelerate the infrastructure construction, optimize the industrial structure and enhance social security and management. The rural information public service network project will be promoted at the area.
In 2014, the Lanzhou New Area invested 188 million yuan on poverty alleviation. A total of 5 villages shook off poverty and 10,000 people were lifted out of impoverishment. The per capital income of rural residents in the area totaled 7,832 yuan, up 35.5 percent year on year.
