The Lanzhou New Area will step up industrial park construction this year to promote the clustering development, according to its organizing committee on June 3. A total of six large-scale industrial parks with incorporating functions will be established in the new area.

Infrastructure construction including road, electricity, water supply and sewage disposal at the petrochemical park will be launched soon. The park will strengthen the construction of new material sector by building up workshops totaling 50,000-square meters and introducing more projects.

The science and education park will also accelerate infrastructure construction this year and 50 percent of the whole project is expected to be completed by the end of this year. Over 18 new projects will be put into operation with the industrial added value reaching 2.4 billion yuan at all the six industrial parks this year.
