The Splendid Dream of Dunhuang [File Photo]

The 3rd China Lanzhou International Drum Cultural and Arts Week will be held in the city of Lanzhou, capital of Gansu Province, from July 3 to 9. Jointly held by the International Council of Organizations for Folklore Festivals, the CPC Lanzhou Municipal Committee and the Lanzhou Municipal Government, the event is a sideline activity of the 21st Lanzhou Investment and Trade Fair.

Some 300 artist from foreign troupes will present exotic drum performances during the event. China Oriental Performing Arts Group and other domestic troupes will also join in the activity. The classic dance drama named the Splendid Dream of Dunhuang will be performed at the Jincheng Grand Threater on July 3. The Drum Dance of China will be on stage at the closing ceremony on July 9.
