The 2015 Natural Catalytic Technology Production, Teaching and Research Forum will be held in the city of Lanzhou, capital of Gansu Province, from July 18 to 19, according to a themed news briefing conference on July 13.

Themed “Advocating Green Chemical Industry and Protecting Ecological Environment,” the forum will invite renowned scholars and specialists to discuss the development of green chemical industry from the perspectives of environment and resources.

Being a traditional industrial base, the city of Lanzhou has formed advantages in petroleum chemical industry, equipment manufacturing, metallurgy, energy and power, medicine, agricultural products processing and so on. The petroleum industry is the pillar industry of Lanzhou.

The forum will discuss the industrial transfer from the eastern to the western part of China, how to phase out outdated capacity and accelerate the application of catalytic hydrogenation.
