The Gansu provincial government office issued the implementation plan on accelerating the construction of big data and cloud platforms to promote information industry, to ensure the careful implementation of it across the whole province.

The implementation plan illustrates that the investment in information infrastructure will amount to 10 billion yuan; 50% of the city will build the 3D social management and service platform; the cloud computing data center will be built in Lanzhou New Area, Baiyin and Jinchang, and the main business revenue of the information industry in the whole province is going to reach 60 billion yuan by 2017. Furthermore, Gansu will be built into the regional center for inputting and outputting information and the main business revenue of the information industry will total 100 billion yuan by 2020.

The implementation plan states the major IT projects must be pushed on, to ensure that they can be completed and put into use on time. The implementation plan also stresses that Gansu will make more efforts to attract investment and the government will offer different rewards to support investment attraction.
