On October 30, the reporter learned from Lanzhou development and reform commission that they had received an official written reply from the higher authority about the feasibility report on the first phase (Dongfanghong Square-Yanbei Road), line 2 of Lanzhou urban rail transit.

The primary design has now entered the review process. The project is expected to start by the end of 2015.

The first phase of line 2 is 9.06 kilometers in length, and has 9 underground stations, including 5 transfer ones.
