The Competition of 24th World Memory Championships in Lanzhou Area, concluded in Lanzhou City, Gansu Province, on November 8.

Divided in Children Group, Teenager Group and Adult Group, participants competed in ten challenging events according to the standardized rule of set by WMC. Lu Zhongli, Gou Zhiqiang and Xia Tianzi won the first places in the Children, Teenager and Adult Group competitions respectively. Qin Yinglei, Lu Di, Jia Yuyang etc. were the champions of ten Individual Awards. Those winners along with other 35 winners of other zones would enter the China finals, among which the final winner(s) would participate in the world finals in Chengdu in December on behalf of China. Zhang Huijie, the Director of the Organizing Committee said this event would encourage more people in Gansu to join in the WMC.
