A heating and power plant is planned to be constructed in Lanzhou New Area with the investment from State Power Investment Corporation, according to the management committee of Lanzhou New Area on November 16. The new plant is expected to be put into operation on September 1, 2017.

The total fixed investment is planned to reach over 2.96 billion yuan. Once accomplished, it would serve a whole heating area of 12 million square meters with an annual energy production of 3.85 billion kilowatt-hours and 1,110 tons of steam per hour.
