The state leaders and businessmen from countries along the routes of the “Belt and Road Initiative” will be invited to attend the 22nd Lanzhou Investment and Trade Fair, which will kick off on July 8. A total of 12 main activities will be held then and the fair is expected to become an important platform to facilitate trade and economic exchanges between countries and regions along the routes, according to its organizing committee on June 27.

With the theme of "Jointly Advancing ‘Belt and Road’ Initiative and Promoting Win-win Development," the fair includes a projects promotional event, a Taiwan businessmen inspection tour, a traditional Chinese medicine nursing forum, several contract signing ceremonies and other activities.

With a total exhibition area of 80,000 square meters, the fair will include three exhibition halls, namely, the comprehensive, specialized and Gansu local ones. The comprehensive one will exhibit cooperative investment achievements between different countries and provinces. The specialized pavilion will be divided into sectors of equipment manufacturing, new energy and materials, building materials, energy conservation, agriculture, wine, Halal food and Muslim goods, logistics and e-commerce and innovative industries. The Gansu pavilion will feature online and offline sales of specialties in the province.
