The China (Lanzhou) Yellow River Culture Summit Forum was held in Lanzhou City, Gansu Province, on August 11.

Being a cradle of Chinese civilization, the Yellow River boasts immense historical and cultural value with achievements made in related literature, paintings, sculpture, technology and water conservancy fields, said Yu Jingdong, vice-mayor of Lanzhou City, during the forum.

Renowned experts and scholars from universities and academies attended the forum and delivered speeches on building up a Lanzhou urban cultural industry zone. Discussions were also made in history, tourism, artwork collection, folk customs, sports competition, festival, exhibition and entertainment related with the Yellow River culture.
