The 2016 China Lanzhou Scientific and High-tech Achievement Expo will kick off at the Gansu Conference and Exhibition Center in Lanzhou City, Gansu Province, on September 24, according to a news briefing held on September 18.

Themed with “Science and Technology Propelling Business Development,” the expo will hold discussions on scientific and technological cooperation in Gansu Province, the development of Lanbai Innovation and Reform Pilot Zone, and high-tech industries like medicine and green energy in the province.

A total of 15 foreign delegates, including foreign ambassadors to China and scientific and technological counselors, will take part in the activity entitled Lanzhou Tour of Scientific and Technological Silk Road.

Delegations from the Zhangjiang National Innovation Demonstration Zone in Shanghai, three cities in western China and 13 cities in Gansu Province will present exhibitions during the expo for the first time.

The contract volume of scientific and technological cooperation and achievement trade is expected to exceed 1 billion yuan during the expo.
