A China Hockey Back-up Talent Cultivation Base was established at the Lanzhou Institute of Physical Education in Lanzhou New Area on November 2, according to a related work conference held on that day.

A national teenage boy hockey team was formed after the conference and its 18 members aged 14 will receive training in Lanzhou from now on.

According to the conference, a total of 72 physical education institutes have been approved to be hockey back-up talent bases across China and the sports item is expected to become popular in the long run.
