Lanzhou plans to foster 10,000 start-ups this year

The city of Lanzhou, capital of Gansu Province, plans to foster 10,000 new start-ups and create 25,000 related job opportunities this year, according to the Lanzhou Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau on March 1.

Until now, there are 72 maker spaces in Lanzhou, among which 13 are state-level ones. The city of Lanzhou will continue to issue subsidized loans and support college graduates to start businesses this year so as to foster 10,000 new start-ups and create 25,000 related job opportunities.

The conference also noted that the construction industry employment injury insurance will cover 143,600 workers and a regulation to guarantees rural migrant workers’ right to get salaries on time will be issued within this year.
