A 200-meter-long scroll painting depicting the 100-li (50,000-meter) Scenic Zone along the Yellow River and mountains in Lanzhou was exhibited in the city on April 17. Featuring the Xinglong Mountain, Waterwheel Park, Yellow River Mother Sculpture and other scenic spots, the painting, which takes four years to complete, is dubbed the Lanzhou Edition of Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival, a famous Chinese handscroll of painting reflecting the life and customs in the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127).
