In the first three months of this year, the industrial added value completed by enterprises above the designated size reached 12.82 billion yuan in the city of Lanzhou, Gansu Province, up by 6.3 percent year on year, according to a report released by Gansu Statistical Bureau on May 15.
During the same period, the light and heavy industries completed added values of 4.22 billion and 8.6 billion yuan respectively, up by 6.1 percent and 7 percent year on year. The industries of tobacco, medicine and nonferrous metals grew rapidly and greatly propelled the economic growth in the city.
