A Lanzhou Cultural Tourism Promotional Conference was held in the city of Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, on May 24. About one hundred travel agencies attended the event.

The sceneries of the Yellow River, Qingcheng ancient town, and local foods like cold starch noodles, finger mutton in Lanzhou were introduced during the conference. Performances like Dunhuang, My Dreamland, and the Capital of the Yellow River were also presented for visitors.

"The promotional activity let me know more about Lanzhou and its tourism resources," said Chen Jie, a manager of Shenzhen Branch of China International Travel Service Ltd. "We will organize more tourists to visit Lanzhou through various forms like parent-child, research and summer holiday ones and let them experience local culture, history and the distinctive atmosphere of western China."
