The airline of Urumqi-Lanzhou-Yancheng will be launched on August 2, which signifies that the number of navigable cities from Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport will total 86, according to the airport on August 1.

Being an important node city along the Euro-Asia Continental Bridge, Lanzhou has become a convenient transfer stop for passengers from Shanghai, Guangzhou, Wuhan, Guizhou, Nanning, Shantou and some other cities to go to Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The newly launched airline is expected to greatly enhance cooperation and communication among the inland area, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and the Yangtze River Delta.
