Lanzhou GDP totals 110.8b yuan in H1

The GDP in Lanzhou City, Gansu Province, totaled 110.81 billion yuan in the first half of this year, up by 6.3 percent year on year, according to a municipal government work report released on August 29.

During the same period, the retail sales of consumer goods in the city totaled 62.58 billion yuan, up by 8.7 percent year on year, and its e-commerce trade scale reached 61.22 billion yuan, growing by 30.1 percent.

The cultural tourism industry took on great momentum in the first half of this year. The city of Lanzhou received 33.35 million tourists with the tourism revenue totaling 27.62 billion yuan, up by 29.5 percent and 29.9 percent respectively. The city also sponsored 35 key exhibitions and conventions, such as Western China Leisure Expo, Gansu Auto Trade Fair and the Sports Industry Expo, with the trade volume totaling 3.55 billion yuan.

During the same period, the GDP in Lanzhou New Area, Lanzhou High-tech Industrial Zone and Lanzhou Economic and Technological Zone totaled 6.57 billion, 12.36 billion and 12.41 billion yuan respectively, up by 12.7 percent, 9.5 percent and 10.6 percent year on year.
