In the first half of this year, the strategic new emerging industries in Lanzhou City, Gansu Province, realized an added value of 15.6 billion yuan, up by 12.1 percent year on year and accounting for 14.1 percent of the city’s GDP, according to Lanzhou Municipal Commission of Industry and Information Technology on September 3.
Over the past three years, the city of Lanzhou has extended industrial chains of intelligent manufacturing and new energy equipment through detailed planning, policy support and investment attraction so as to promote clustering development.
An emerging industrial development system featuring high-end equipment manufacturing, bio-medicine, IT, new materials, new energy, environmental protection and modern services has taken shape in the city.
During the same period, the growth rate of high-end equipment, electronic information, bio-medicine and new energy industries reached 18.83%, 13.44%, 16.71% and 11.76% respectively. And until now, eight state-level enterprise technology centers and 67 provincial-level ones have been established in Lanzhou to propel innovation.
