Lanzhou accelerates opening-up pace

The city of Lanzhou has accelerated opening-up pace and yielded great achievement over the past years.

To seize the opportunities of the Belt and Road Initiative, the city of Lanzhou made detailed working plans to build it into a core hub city on the Silk Road Economic Belt.

Forums like the Silk Road Economic Belt Lanzhou New Area Development Forum, Silk Road Economic Belt Think Tank Forum, International Muslim Scientific and Technological Development Forum were held to actively participate in the initiative.

The city also launched new airlines to connect itself with Seoul, Bangkok, Dubai, St. Petersburg and other 14 international cities and established sister city ties with eight cities.

The Lanzhou Central Asia International Freight Train and China-Europe International Freight Train have been launched and realized normalized operation.

The city also constructed the Lanzhou International Port Area and the Dongchuan Railway Freight Center has been put into operation.

At the same time, the city encouraged cross-border e-commerce enterprises to set up direct-sale stores to realize the return of consumption.

The city also stepped up investment attraction with the actual capital inflow totaling over 700 billion yuan since 2013.
