Lanzhou plans to enhance tourism attraction construction

The city of Lanzhou plans to complete construction of one state-level 5A and eight state-level 4A tourism attractions by 2020, according to the 13th Five-year Plan on Cultural Tourism Development in Lanzhou recently released by Lanzhou Municipal Government.

The city will expand tourism areas of Yellow River Scenic Zone, Xinglong Mountain, Shuping Danxia Landform Town and Liancheng Ancient Town and build Lanzhou into a renowned cultural and tourism city along the ancient Silk Road and the Yellow River, the plan said.

The tourism revenue and tourist number are expected to reach 86.73 billion yuan and 99.12 million by 2020, with an annual growth rate of 18.71 percent and 17.11 percent respectively, according to the plan.
