The project of Xixi Cultural and Tourism Small Town, with a total investment of 749 million yuan, will start construction in Lanzhou New Area, Lanzhou City, Gansu Province, on October 1.

Featuring cultural tourism, cares for health and the aged, and the development of distinctive small towns, the project is expected to promote commerce and urban tourism in the new area.

Occupying a total area of 20.67 hectares, the project will include a health care town and a cultural town, which focus on garden type health care and miniature landscapes in Gansu Province respectively.

It is reported that the project is planned to be put into operation in 2019 and is expected to receive 300,000 tourists in the following year with the consumption volume totaling 100 million yuan.
