The “Belt and Road" Lanzhou International Ice and Snow Sports Core Area will be built in Gaolan County, Lanzhou City, with a total investment of 11 billion yuan, according to a strategic cooperation plan reached by the Lanzhou Municipal Government, the Gaolan County Government and Sunbase International Holdings Ltd. in Hong Kong.

Centering on development notions of “ecology, sports, cultural tourism, quality and brand," the project will include 50-kilometer cross country skiing tracks, snowboarding and freestyle skiing facilities, five-star hotels, sports tourism resorts and ecological living areas.
