The Lanzhou New Area has attracted and nurtured 7,957 high-caliber professionals in various areas since the beginning of this year, according to the management committee of the new area on October 20.

Targeting on the talent shortage in education, hygiene, enterprises and some other sectors, the new area made “flexible flowing” policies and the “no threshold” access system to attract talent across China and released scientific assessment and welfare systems to guarantee their medical care, education of children and other benefits.

Until now, a total of 7,957 high-caliber professionals have been attracted and nurtured in the new area, among which eight are academicians of Chinese Academy of Science and one is academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering.
