A total of six items in Lanzhou City were inscribed into the fourth batch of 140 items of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Gansu Province, according to the list released by the Department of Culture of Gansu Province on October 25.

The legendary tales of Xinglong Mountain in Yuzhong County, the tales of Golden Flower Goddess in Xigu District, the Quzi Opera in Gaolan County, the traditional mounting technique of calligraphy and painting in Anning District, the lily planting technique in Qilihe District and the pottery production technique in Lanzhou, being the above-mentioned six newly enlisted Gansu Intangible Cultural Heritage, will be better protected and promoted in the future, following the requirements put forward by the document released at the same time.
