The city of Lanzhou in Gansu Province was awarded “National Garden City,” according to the recently released list by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. A total of 35 cities were on the list across China.

A total of 45 park green land projects were constructed and renovated in Lanzhou and four sewage treatment plants were built and put into operation with the urban sewage treatment rate reaching 95.8 percent in the past years, he said.
