Qinqiang is the representative folk Chinese opera of the northwestern China’s Shaanxi Province, where it was called Qin thousands of years ago. Its melodies originated from rural areas of Shaanxi and Gansu Provinces. Photo taken on November 5 shows the backstage scenes of the Gansu Qinqiang Opera Troupe. Established in 1952, the troupe has contributed to promoting the folk art for over 60 years. [Photo/Xinhua] |
