Lanzhou New Area is gearing up for development of a multimodal transport demonstration project, according to a meeting held by the new area's administrative committee on November 20.
The multimodal transport project, which effectively combines air, road, rail and sea transportation, has been approved by China’s Ministry of Transport and National Development and Reform Commission.
The project, with an investment of 2.92 billion yuan, is expected to be completed within three years.
The project involves development of multimodal transport service bases, comprehensive cross-border e-commerce logistics parks, comprehensive bonded zone and port supporting service projects and multi-modal transport service standards system.
